Case Study: the importance of migration planning

Hi guys! Today’s post is about a successful case for one of our clients, where our planning and consistent work following our plan showed us the best possible results. Our client was ready to work together with migration agent team with full commitment and I had the honour of guiding a family of five, making sure everything goes smoothly!

For our busy followers, here’s a brief summary: during our time working together, the client received 3 different visas, had 2 consultations (over the phone and in person), traveled around Australia, reunited with his family, and at 45 years old, settled down permanently in the beautiful city of Perth.

Now, let’s dive into the details of the journey

1

July 2022 – Our first consultation over the phone. The client and his family were still living in their home country, running a small business. We discussed possible pathways, considering age, education, and skills. I advised the client to visit Australia to explore job and business opportunities firsthand and to pass the English test to assess his proficiency. The client took some time to think it over.

January 2023 – The client, now with a solid IELTS score (all 6s), left his family temporarily, flew to Australia and met me in person. His consultation goal was to discuss buying or starting a business and getting a business visa. He was 43, soon turning 44. I explained that business visas involve a long 10-year wait and could potentially be closed soon. Instead, I suggested an alternative plan based on his updated situation – finding an employer and pursuing an employer sponsored visa. The client left me to consider the new visa direction.

May 2023 – The client returned with fantastic news – he had found an employer willing to sponsor him for a visa! We revised our strategy: we needed to prove relevant work experience without formal qualifications, ensure he could stay in the country with work rights, reunite the family, and apply for permanent residency before he turned 45. We had only 8 months to make it all happen. It was a 🔥 challenge, but exactly the kind of high-stakes case I love!

July 2023 – Employer sponsorship, nomination, and the 482 visa were granted for the client.

August 2023 – January 2024 – The saga of getting his skills assessment began! We needed to find an RTO organization that would assess our applicant’s work experience and issue an Australian qualificationcertificate, which we could then use to obtain skills assessment from TRA. The RTO organizations were not in a hurry to assess the documents or schedule a practical skills assessment for our applicant. I bombarded them with calls, but they kept giving me excuses. I wouldn’t have let this slide! We only had two months left!

In February 2024, we finally received the documents to get skills assessment (after countless calls and letters to TRA about our deadlines), and brought his family from overseas to Australia to lodge the permanent residency application together.

March 2024 – Just two weeks before hitting the critical age of 45, we got the nomination approved and submitted the visa 186 application for the entire family. It was a huge relief for everyone!

August 2024 – The permanent visa SC186 with employer sponsorship was granted in an incredibly fast 5 months!

This case was like a rollercoaster, full of twists and turns, keeping everyone on their toes! But we did it, and the result was amazing. Our entire team and the client worked together like a well-rehearsed orchestra, with each person playing their part to perfection. And in the end, we achieved a beautiful outcome!

Planning, planning, and planning again! It’s the cornerstone of any successful migration case. Do you agree with me?
