The Migration Tasmania Skilled Nomination Checker is now available for yourself-check and will also help determine if you are eligible for a pass. You will find the link to this tool in Blog section on my site.

How to apply for a nomination

  • At the current stage, applicants can only apply for a nomination after they receive an invitation from the Tasmanian Migration Service.
  • Meanwhile, you can assess your case if you meet Gold / Green / Orange Pass requirements (you will find the link on my website). If you meet at least one Gold or Green Pass attribute, you are eligible to move forward.
  • After submitting an EOI through SkillSelect, you have to complete a request of invitation form.
  • Within 14 days you will receive a response from Tasmania Migration – an invitation email with a link to apply for a nomination. The link will be valid for the next 14 days.
  • Application for the Tasmanian nomination is paid at the time you complete the form. It costs 220 AUD and is not refundable. Once the fee has been processed, your application is submitted.
  • The assessment of the application is based on the information provided and supporting documents. If the application is incomplete, does not meet the nomination criteria, or the documents do not support the information, the application will be rejected.
  • If you are nominated, Tasmanian Migration Services will email you and you will receive an invitation to apply for a visa from the Department.

Unsuccessful applications for visa SC 190 may also be considered for visa subclass 491 applications. If you want this to happen, you must include visa 491 as an option in your SkillSelect Expression of Interest (EOI).
