NSW is open for skilled migration 2023-2024

One of Australia’s most popular states for migration, New South Wales has announced that it will accept applications for SC190 visa nominations from skilled migration stream candidates very soon.

It is important to mention that NSW will focus on priority sectors instead of the published skilled occupation list. The successful candidate should have an occupation from general Australian skilled occupational list (SOL), which must fall within one of the following sectors:

  • Health
  • Education
  • Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
  • Infrastructure
  • Agriculture

Important details:

  • Although NSW focus this program year is on key sectors, high-ranking EOIs submitted in non-priority sectors may also be considered;
  • Invitations will be held throughout the program year and there are no specific dates for invitation rounds.
  • Important factors in the selection of candidates will be the point score, English proficiency level and work experience.
  • The date you submit or amend your SkillSelect EOI has no impact on your likelihood of being invited.

I would like to pay your attention, that the requirements have been published for visa SC190 only:

  • General requirements of DOHA for skilled migrants
  • At least 6 months stay in NSW for onshore candidates or 6 months stay overseas for offshore candidates.
  • The EOI must be valid throughout the application evaluation period.
  • The EOI must be submitted for a 190 visa only and for NSW nomination only.

We look forward to the new NSW requirements for Temporary skilled visa SC491 applicants and will update you ASAP.
