South Australia is now open for applications from skilled migration candidates.

This program year, the state will invite 3,000 people to apply for subclass 190 permanent visas and an additional 800 people for provisional visas 491 with state nomination.

Traditionally, the state has announced its own Skilled Occupation List, which includes 464 occupations for applicants from Australia and 427 occupations for overseas candidates.

You can review the SA occupation list on the official website.

South Australia is accepting applications from applicants through 4 streams and will conduct selection rounds throughout the year. The rounds for overseas applicants will be conducted at the end of each month starting from September. Candidates must meet the basic Department requirements as well as the conditions of the eligible stream. You can find further details below.

For candidates currently living in SA and working on a temporary visa in a nominated occupation for at least 12 months, with full-time employment (at least 30 hours per week). Candidates can be holders of temporary visas, graduates, self-employed applicants, and subcontractors. Graduates need to confirm skilled work experience post-course completion.

Designed for graduates who have completed 75% of their course in SA and have lived in SA for at least 1 year. Candidates must live and work in the state for at least 6 months at the time of application and have worked full-time (30 hours or more) in the nominated occupation for 6 months. Graduates also need to confirm skilled work experience post-course completion.

This stream is for skilled candidates living and working in remote regions of South Australia for at least 9 months. The candidate must be working in an occupation related to the nominated occupation from the eligible occupation list on a full-time basis (30 hours per week). Candidates can be holders of temporary visas, graduates, self-employed applicants, and subcontractors. Graduates also need to confirm skilled work experience post-course completion.
