Today, I’m thrilled to share one inspiring migration journey with you! While this case may not have been the most straightforward, it’s a true testament to resilience. I hope it motivates you to keep going, even when the path is tough.
This story began during the pandemic when Australian borders were closed. Our client reached out, seeking guidance as a future student. We successfully secured a spot for them in a packaged course – two months of English followed by a course in Master of Project Management.
We arranged for their two children to attend school, obtained visas for the entire family, and then began the wait for Australia’s borders to reopen. In December 2021, the government announced that fully vaccinated students could finally enter.
As you may know, finding a job as a student in Australia can be challenging. The impact of international sanctions on Russia didn’t improve situation for our new migrants.
Over the next two years, we worked closely with the client to explore all possible avenues, crafting multiple strategies to strengthen their position in the country. Finally, in 2024, main applicant has found an employer willing to sponsor him for a temporary visa SC482. So the significant next step for having permanent residency should be awaited in just two years.
It seemed like everything was finally sorted… but there was still one unexpected twist. Let’s dive into the rest of the story!
And here’s where the drama unfolded! Just a day after receiving sponsorship approval, we got a nomination refusal – out of nowhere, with no prior request for additional information or clarification. This was a first nomination refusal like that in my entire migration career! We were shocked and frustrated. To top it off, we had to urgently withdraw the visa application, resulting in significant financial loss for the client. It was a tough blow…
Faced with this situation, we had two options: appeal directly to the Tribunal or challenge the Department’s decision ourselves. We decided to take matters into our own hands and fought back! Exactly one month later, the nomination was approved, with the Department acknowledging the mistake.
Alost the same day, we resubmitted the visa application, and after 8 weeks of waiting, the deserved visa was granted!
